Burgkapelle Gossam

Ruins

Description

The ruins of the former Gossam castle chapel, which was a popular pilgrimage destination, lie directly on the World Heritage Trail in the direction of Aggsbach village. It was built around 1100 as part of a castle complex. The church was continually enlarged until the 15th century due to the large number of pilgrims. Today, only the remains of the medieval castle remain. The chapel is open daily and can also be visited from the inside.
