Wachau Volunteer

Young volunteers from all over the world in action

Would you like to spend two weeks working on an international nature conservation project with a group of young people from all over the world - in one of the most beautiful river landscapes in the world? With Wachau Volunteer you’ll get the opportunity to help preserve the most valuable and endangered biotopes and natural areas (Danube floodplains, stone terraces, orchid meadows, pastures) during two-week work camps in the Natura 2000 protected area, the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau and the Jauerling-Wachau Nature Park.

Accommodation and meals are free of charge. You will have to pay for your own travel and other expenses. You and your group (approx. 18 people) will be accommodated at the NMS Wachau in Spitz/Danube. The camp language is English. Your team will be supported by staff from the Jauerling-Wachau Nature Park, the Wachau Working Group, and the Lanius Nature Conservation Association. In addition to nature conservation and landscape management, hiking and theme trails will be restored.
