Brief description
A walk through space! The planet trail begins at the Gewerbebaum in the center of Weiten, where the sun "stands". On a scale of 1:1.6 billion, you walk through our solar system to its outermost planet Pluto in the village of Am Schuß (Weitentalhof). You will find true-to-scale illustrations of our planets on attractive display boards. An accompanying brochure supplements the information on the planet trail boards and provides an insight into the wonderful world of astrology.
Description
Weiten is an old, dreamy place with a lot of history in the middle of the Ysper-Weitental valley. The unique landscape with its dense forests and lush meadows is just the right refuge for relaxation, peace and adventure. In the center of Weiten, a pillory is a reminder of an old, cruel jurisdiction. A Gothic hall church, the Mollenburg castle and the Streitwiesen ruins are witnesses to the past. Weiten is also the starting point in the "Valley of Sundials".

Route description Planetenwanderweg
Der Planetenwanderweg beginnt beim Gewerbebaum im Zentrum von Weiten, dort „steht“ die Sonne. Im Maßstab 1:1,6 Mrd. Man wandert durch unser Sonnensystem bis zu seinem äußersten Planeten Pluto im Ort Am Schuß (Weitentalhof) dieser liegt direkt am Ende des Planetenwanderweges (Pluto). Auf attraktiven Schautafeln findet man die maßstabsgetreuen Abbildungen unserer Planeten. Eine Begleitbroschüre ist in den Gasthöfen sowie in allen Geschäften in Weiten erhältlich.
