Description
The Jauerling lookout point is 960 meters above sea level, one of the highest points on the entire Danube.
The viewing platform on the Jauerling is located at 960 m above sea level. It was built from 1984-1991 and is 38 m high. This wooden lookout point offers a fantastic panoramic view from the Danube valley over the Dunkelsteinerwald to the Alps and the southern Waldviertel. Access to the Jauerling by car from Schallemmersdorf via Maria Laach or from Spitz via Gut am Steg to Oberndorf am Jauerling. Sufficient parking spaces are available directly in front of the control room.
