Pfarrkirche

Church

Description

The parish church, dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary (patron saint on August 15), is a former late Romanesque, flat-roofed, three-nave pillar basilica with a raised central nave and Gothic ribbed vault. The central nave walls open to the side aisles with wide pointed arches. The church - located in the cemetery - is a typical example of a parish church complex in this part of the Danube valley. The two Romanesque church portals are also worthy of note. The sacristy with Gothic rectangular windows is attached to the north of the choir.
